Dreams
I've been dreaming a lot lately...Especially since I've been off the pill (more on my editorial on being off the pill later). For some strange stupid reason, I've been dreaming a lot about penguins. Penguins swimming, penguins playing, penguins keeping warm.....Penguins everywhere!
I chalked it all up to watching the "March of the Penguins" a while back; afterall, it was a great movie! The movie also had sad parts which made me think it stayed in my subconscious.
After dreaming about them again last night, I decided to scour the internet trying to find a meaning behind my dreaming about these little creatures.
Oddly enough, there are a ton of dream definition resources out there! And penguin is listed! Here's what I found on a few different websites:
Penguin: "To see a penguin in your dream, signifies that your problems are not as serious as you may think. It serves as a reminder for you to keep you cool and remain level-headed. Alternatively, a penguin seen in your dream suggests that you are being weighed down by your emotions or by a negative situation. You need to find some balance and inner harmony. "
Penguin: "The penguin is an interesting earth-bound bird that lives in and around the ocean. As a dream symbol it may represent concrete thinking, feelings of being burdened by unwanted emotions, lethargy, and a need to achieve balance. Think about your dream and see if any of these ideas are relevant to you. Superstition based dream interpretation books say that the penguin indicates that your problems are not as serious as you may think them to be."
Seems a theme might be running here, eh?
Now that I know what these little creatures 'symbolize', let's see if I dream about them anymore. That'll be kind of sad though; they're so cute!

Sometimes, in this crazy, fast paced world, your sould detaches from your body and is pushed away by your conscious mind. Dreams are a way for your soul to try to reconnect to your body and show your conscious mind something that it is missing. It seems that you need more "me time" to understnad and deal with your emotions and the many other pressures of this life and regain that balance.
That can apply to just about anyone, but who decided that penguins of all things mean you need to "find balance"? This reminds of reading horoscopes... everything sort of applies. Who makes that stuff up too?
