The Return of the Clack Clacks

Well, it's that lovely time of year here in the Southern Ontario. We've had a very slow arrival to summer--which I am NOT complaining about. Ontario usually has a 5 month winter, 3 week spring, 5 month summer and 3 week fall...and repeat..
This year has been gorgeous! For the last 2 months we've had 15-20C weather, bright sunshine and gentle breezes, absolutely wonderful.
Now, you know I wouldn't be writing if I was just going to be speaking about something positive....right?
What I don't get....(please God in heaven, explain this to me)...is why women wear shoes they can't walk in. Seriously folks, why do women walk around in these crazy get-ups called sandals and they're impossible to walk in. They're not strapped down, they're impossible to even contemplate how these women even gotten into them, and they barely stay on their feet. So when they walk down stairs, escalators, or even down the hall, all you can here is "CLACK CLACK". That infamous snap of the sandal against a bare foot. You know what I'm talking about. Listen for it.....it will be there. I guarantee it.
So, my friends and neighbours, the season of the clack clacks has officially begun.
When I'm trying to walk down the stairs to get to the subway on time and I have some stupid girliegirl trying to walk in her stupid sandals....remember the clack clacks.
Listening to crazy women giggling because they left their a sandal on the escalator.....remember the clack clacks.
And when I hear that infamous dragging of the feet because they don't know how to pick up their feet off the ground a mere 1/2 an inch....remember the clack clacks.
It's going to be an interesting summer!

Haha.. think of the girls walking around with flip flops on those hot summer days when their feet are so wet and sticky that each step rewards you with the sound of "thhhhhhhp! thhhhhhhp!".
