Totally Indifferent

People are stupid.
It's a fact--I can't change that. When people are stupid and don't recognize that they are; I can't change that either. Rude people are rude people--sometimes they improve, sometimes they don't. I've accepted that.
Stupid things happen all the time. People from the past have been angry with me about the stupidest things. Well, I woke up today...and I discovered that I'm indifferent to them now. I absolutely don't care!

A good friend of mine introduced me to a great song, and the lyrics are very fitting for how I'm feeling about these 'situations':

I`m not ready to make nice

I`m not ready to back down

I`m still mad as hell and

I don`t have time to go round and round and round

It`s too late to make it right

I probably wouldn`t if I could

`Cause I`m mad as hell

Can`t bring myself to do what it is you think I should

The words aren't 100% accurate....in particular the lines that say "I'm mad as hell". Again, I honestly...don't care. I really and truly don't. I just can't bring myself to "make nice" and do things YOU think I should.

Being really angry at someone or a situation puts it up there on your subconscious. It takes up all your energy and your thought. It consumes your entire being. I've discovered something through the years....not caring about a situation is much much worse. Not worse from my perspective (again, I don't CARE), but from your perspective.

I just don't care if you're hurt, or upset anymore. Your feelings mean nothing to me. I was, at one point in time, worried about it enough and tried to make it right; but if you're not reciprocating, I don't care.

Not anymore.
