Alaska in June

I took an art class with Michael's on Friday afternoon. The class was with an instructor trained in Bob Ross paintings.

I signed up for the class about 2 weeks ago; when I found out that I would be leaving my current employer for someone else...more on that later.

The class was held from 1-4 and I was told to sign up quickly before all the spots were taken.

I arrived around 1.05 due to the traffic, and lo and behold--no one was there! Did they cancel the class? Did I get the wrong location? Just as I was putting those thoughts together...a woman came up from behind me and said "Are you Luigilover?"..... "Yes, I am". "Oh good, lets get started".

Dude. There was no one else there! I got a private 1 on 1 class with an instructor. And the above masterpiece is what was created. She kept referring to Alaska mountains--hence the title. I'm going to try and sign up for more classes when they become available. I'm really liking this painting thing!

I'm a Rebel

Well, I finally did it.
I bit the bullet; that is when my sister went with me and held my hand. I got the following tattoo on my left shoulder blade. It wasn't as painful as I thought; not by a long shot!
There have been a lot of changes going on in my life and I wanted to commemorate them somehow.
The dove symbolizes "Freedom". There are a lot of things that I'm being freed of--more on that some other time.
I've always loved yellow roses; however the yellow didn't look the greatest on my skin so he added a lot of orange into it so it didn't look as washed out.

You Like?

Do you like my second attempt?

For anyone that knows me, I absolutely love lighthouses. I have no idea why--but they're just so warm and welcoming. Maybe I used to work in one in a past life or something. I just see them as warm, welcoming structures that help people find their way. Maybe that's why I chose it as my symbol for my side business...that's if I ever get it off the ground!

It was a labour of love...and never mind if it was purchased from a kit and they painstakingly walked me through step by step...I still love it; and I hope you do too.
