And the Countdown Begins!

They've recently announced that the 3rd season of LOST will start soon! Granted October 5th really isn't *that* soon, but I'm so excited!

Season 2 was kick-ass; but the repeats killed me. I understand a repeat here and there, but when someone creates a website to help the world know if the upcoming episode is a repeat or not; there's a problem.

I love discussing the 'easter eggs' (clues....) that get dropped in the show. Just when I think we get a few answers straightened out, 4 more emerge. Constantly gets you thinking....that's why I love it! (Oh, and looking at Jack, Sayid and Sawyer doesn't hurt either!)

Problems

I've been so busy at work lately; running around with my arms flaring around (similar to those balloons you see on business roof tops to attract businesses).

I guess my biggest problem is not adhering to my body's needs. Specifically, having to go to the bathroom.

I know you've done it too. The PeePee Dance. You know you haaaaave to go, but maybe you can just finish up this email/phone call/conversation in another minute so that you don't have to finish up the email/phone call/conversation later!
Ah, but no. When your body knocks, you must answer.

So, for 3 days in a row, I've been speed walking to the bathroom. On all three occasions, I've been unbuttoning my pants before I even make it to the toilet! I did this because I knew I wouldn't make it otherwise.

I guess the moral of the story is to just listen to your body. It isn't the most profound message in the world, but an important one. When the first knock hits my bladder, I should just listen to it. The email/phone call/conversation will have to wait I'm afraid!

I'm 25 (...again; honest)

I celebrated my 29th 25th birthday yesterday. I had a great day!! I took the day off and I spent it all day with my husband (mostly; more to come).

We slept in until 11am and it was so nice. I would have just been contemplating returning from my coffee break if I had gone to work instead. Ha! Suckers!

I then spoke to my bestest friend from 11-1pm...her phone bill is my gift. It was so great to catch up with her. She had to let me go because she was going to be late for her doctor's appointment otherwise! She's expecting a little one any day now!

A delivery of roses came 1/2 way through the conversation. They were from my (sleeping) hubby. They were my favourite colour (Yellow) and they're beautiful!

Then my hubby and I went to watch a movie. The only thing that really interested me was The Devil Wears Prada. The book was ok and so was the movie. It was nice to have a huge bag of popcorn, all to myself! My poor digestive system.

We then went to the Keg Steakhouse and had a great steak. I'm still so full........ It was so good.

I couldn't justify spending $10 on a sundae so we went to McDonalds and had a sundae there. We were just chatting and had a nice time. All of a sudden, Mr.NancyTJ said "Hey, isn't that Dear Cute Boy across the street!?" I look over my shoulder and there he is. Ahh. Walking and talking on his cell phone. I got to see him on my birthday. Ahh....what a wonderful day!

MrNancyTJ and I went home and snuggled for the rest of the night. It was a perfect day.

My party will continue on Saturday with my extended family...it'll be great too I'm sure. I'll let you know what happens.

Thanks to everyone that called, emailed and got me my presents. It's wonderful to know I have such a great circle of friends out there!

I'm Cheap

Me and my friend, The Shuster, went to a music store in town to get my flute repaired. It was a sketchy area of the city, and I didn't want to go alone!

So there we are, we get to the right place (finally) and I approach the counter. Nice looking, older gentleman, in a suit and tie. How bad could this be?

Me: "Hi, I'd like someone to take a look at my flute please."

Him: "Sure, what seems to be the problem?" *opens flute case up*

M: "A few of my notes are very sharp. My instructor recommended this place to get it repaired. I think there's a leak in a few of my pads."

H: *wrinkled his brow* "Did you purchase it from here?"

M: "No."

H: "Where did you get it from?"

M: "Uhhh...I got it as a gift." +

H: "I see." *inspects keys*closes keys*hums*has" "It appears that your pads aren't sitting on the flute correctly. That's the curse with purchasing an inexpensive instrument."

M: *shocked expression*

H: "I'll be right back."

The Shuster: "Dude. He just called you cheap."

M: *laughing* "I know...WTF!?"

H: "Ok. That'll take about a week to a week and a half. It'll be about an hour's worth of work for about $65 / hour. We have flute rentals you can rent in the mean time. Can I interest you in a rental today?"

M: "Ah, no. Thank you."

H: "Ok, we'll give you a call when we're all finished."

Now. Why, in my right mind, after you backhandedly insult me, would I want to spend another $50 to rent a flute from you? I guess you were thinking, if it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck, it's probably some cheap ass flute player who isn't willing to spend $2695 for a brand new flute, let alone $50/week to rent a quality flute, until I have the privilege of tinkering with this crappy excuse for a flute.

Wow, where has good customer service gone?

+Note: I purchased the darned thing from eBay. It cost me $110 USD with the shipping included. If I had told him that, I think he would have turned into a robotron Transformer and burned my eyeballs out with his laserbeams. Again; just a feeling I got from him at that point....

I've got Bloggers Block

Sorry people. I've got nothing.

I could be writing about people complaining about not being able to bring their water bottles on board airplanes (quit your snipping, do you want to be blown up!?), the 'ceasefire' in the middle east (I give it until Thanksgiving Day, the CANADIAN Thanksgiving Day) or the season slowly changing....but I've got nothing.

Absolutely nothing....stay tuned. I'm sure I'll shake this bloggers block of somehow.

Ms. X Folta

I have a friend across the country.

To protect her...uh....foolishness...we'll just call her Ms. X Folta.

This is a 'photo' of her. This is just after she 'dyed' her hair blonde. That was after she found out that it was bleaching agent to PREPARE for a hair colouring.

Ah...silly Ms. X Folta. I'm surpised you just didn't shave your head off, or better yet, get a pixie cut to remove the dead hair.

Ah Ms. X Folta. I wouldn't have you any other way. Miss you lots!
