PMS...

I just don't understand it. Women go through a lot more then men. It's just a fact. We have to get these 'melons' we have to live with in the middle of our chests that grow and shrink during the month, with no warning, and with NOTHING that can be done about it. We have to go through bra snapping phases in school, and have to where those little diapers until we're 'brave' enough to handle tampons.

What I don't get is PMS. I can handle sore boobs, I can even handle the squeezing of the cervix--I however, cannot accept WHY we have to have PMS on top of everything else. *WHY* do we have to go through a week of sheer torture of bloating, tight clothes and irratibilty. And what kills me, is that we have to go through this every month until we're told by mother nature that we're no longer fit to have children and we get cut off.

So, I got my first period at 11 (just short of my 12th birthday). So, for the sake of argument, we'll start at 12. We have 12 periods a year...and say we have menopause (using my mother as an example) at 52. So 40 glorious years. That's 480 glorious PMS sessions.

So, what can we do about this ladies? Piss and moan until it's over I suppose...other than that; nothing. Give the men in our lives PLENTY of notice (if they haven't run for cover already).

I guess I can be positive and say, I'm about 15% finished
.............(UGH)

Diane's Arrived in Kamloops

Well, Diane is in Kamloops. For those of you who don't know...Diane and I have been best friends since kindergarden. I remember offering my blue crayon to her on the steps of our portable, and the rest, is history.

She decided to move to Kamloops, British Columbia with her husband a few weeks ago. They decided to see this beautiful country of ours and drive across. It took them quite some time to get out of Ontario, but once they did, they made it to BC in record time.

Diane assures me she's happy; so I'm happy for her. I'm upset...frustrated....disappointed...but what's a girl to do? I can only wish her well, and keep touch with her. We have awesome ways of communication; this blogger being one of them.

Best of luck, my best friend.

it has begun!

This is my first posting...how terribily exciting!!
